Visa Exemption

The following citizens have been granted Vietnam Visa exemption:

1. Citizens who hold the nationality of Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia & Laos have a Visa exemption of maximum 30 days. If more than 30 days, a Visa is required or you can exit the country then enter again to get another 30 days. For Philippines, just 21 days.

2. Citizens who hold the nationality of Brunei or Cambodia have Visa free for a maximum of 21 days. More than 21 days will need Visa as usual.

3. Citizens who hold the nationality of South Korea , Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Norway, & Finland are exempted for a maximum of 15 days. More than 15 days you will need to apply for Visa on Arrival.

4. French and Chilean citizen who bring Diplomatic passports will enjoy Visa free for maximum 90 days or multiple entry in 6 months.

5. Vietnam gives Visa exemption for a maximum of 60 days for APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) Holders from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies.

6. If you enter Vietnam but go direct to Phu Quoc island after arrival and stay there for 15 days, you will get exempted. In case you stay in Phu Quoc but want to travel to other places in Vietnam, do not worry; you can still apply for a Visa at the Vietnam Immigration Department located there.

7. Visa exemption for citizens of Germany, France, Britain, Italy and Spain. Accordingly, citizens of these countries entering Vietnam do not need to apply a visa Vietnam with the duration of 15 days, with effect from July 1st, 2015. Providing that, these citizens to Vietnam must acquire passports with the validity of at least 06 months since the date of entry. In addition, the next entry to Vietnam without visa must be at least 30 days before the date of the last exit.
